Essen Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy on Jalan Kuning 2, Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru. We’re not part of a chain — we opened Essen because we wanted a pharmacy that listens before it recommends — because sometimes the most honest thing we can say is, “you don’t need to buy anything today.” Walk in for a prescription, a long-term medicine review, or a free blood pressure check — in English, Mandarin, or Bahasa. We’ll listen first.

Free blood pressure check, no appointment needed. Blood sugar, cholesterol, and H. pylori tests also at the counter — pricing on request.

The blood pressure check is free — walk in any time we’re open and we’ll take it at the counter. Two minutes, on the spot. If the reading is fine, you’ll know it’s fine. If it’s a bit high, we’ll explain what it means, whether it’s worth following up with your doctor, and what tends to help.
We also do point-of-care tests for blood sugar, cholesterol (full lipid panel), and H. pylori — pricing on request, the pharmacist explains the result before you leave. You can stop by anytime. People drop in before lunch, after a clinic visit, or when they go out with their daughter.
